The role.
DixonBaxi is one of the most successful branding agencies globally and has a powerful track record in North America, having spent two decades working with some of the world’s most iconic companies. Through that success we are expanding our team in Los Angeles and we are looking for entrepreneurial, ambitious, dynamic people who want to help shape the future of our company.
The Growth Director role will be instrumental in shaping and executing our growth strategy for new business across all of mainland USA. It will be a close collaboration with the UK base to hit ambitious growth targets.
We need someone who is hungry to hunt, book meetings and close deals. Someone who knows how to open doors, build relationships and turn conversations into revenue. A strong track record in driving sales is essential. So is strong leadership, independent thought and a strategic mind. We need someone with a deep understanding of how branding and design work at scale.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape our US presence in a foundational role. You would be working with a world class team across some of the most exciting and dynamic businesses in the world, while building something new, exciting and fresh as our LA footprint grows.

For 25 years we have worked with brands and in-house creative teams across the world from our London studio. We have built a strong reputation in the US with long standing relationships in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Miami and many other cities. We are now bringing that energy to Los Angeles in a permanent way, expanding our footprint to deepen our connection with global clients and build new relationships on the West Coast.

What you do.

- Identify and put in place smart ways to grow the business.
- Book meetings with potential clients and close deals. This is a hunting role and you report directly to the Head of Growth in the UK.
- Build strong relationships and communicate clearly with people at every level.
- Be confident speaking with C-Suite leaders, senior stakeholders and peers.
- Understand market trends and what competitors are doing.
- Work with production and strategy to write proposals that are exciting, simple and easy for clients to understand.
- Report clearly on growth, performance and what is working.
- Work with internal teams to make sure growth plans match the aims of the agency.
- Shape a clear growth strategy that supports the company’s vision and drives new business.
- Identify the right markets, sectors and potential clients to focus on.
- Build strong relationships with key decision makers to open new business opportunities.
- Lead sales meetings, presentations and conversations with potential clients to show our value and win new work.
- Keep an active pipeline of leads and track progress against targets.
- Use sales data, market insight and competitive analysis to spot opportunities and improve performance.
- Share regular updates with senior leadership on sales activity, pipeline health and performance.
- Stay current with industry shifts and emerging trends to guide smart decision making.
- Grow and mentor a high performing team, giving them the support and guidance they need.
- Work with marketing to create messages and materials that support business development.
What you’ll bring.
- You have a strong track record of bringing in revenue that turns into real profit.
- You are driven to get results and to work with leading global brands.
- You know how to build on a world class portfolio of clients.
- You understand tech, sport, media and entertainment in depth and how brands work within them.
- You are fluent in Figma, Keynote or similar tools and can create presentations at a best in class level.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and can walk into a room of C suite leaders with confidence.
- You know Los Angeles and its creative culture well.
- You are a natural connector who is outgoing, curious, culturally aware and interesting to be around.
