We are driven by creativity and a collective passion for making beautiful, original brands that transform organisations and challenge the norm. At DixonBaxi we make creative work for ourselves, the people we work with and the people they want to inspire.

We are looking for experienced (5+ years) Lead Motion Designers to join our ambitious team. Whilst renowned for our motion expression in brand creation, our team skill set must be broader and more diverse than just buffing keyframes to an inch of their lives.

Our team is growing and changing shape. And we have a skills wishlist. You might do all of these well, or a select few to total perfection. You might know AfterEffects inside-out, or you might prefer to bounce through a broad suite of tools and hack your way to a truly original concept.

Storyboard a narrative
Develop Motion Theories
Styleframe an approach
Create design systems
Brief a sound designer
Edit an animatic
Animate with a natural flair
Understand the power of pace and composition
Direct a shoot
Cut a film
Present to client

What you must have is drive, passion and a fearless creative flair. Experimentation and invention comes first for you. Strong ideas are at the heart of everything you do. Clear communication of a brand ethos, idea or message is your mission.


Skills and Knowledge


Emotion of the brand.

You will be tasked to unequivocally communicate the emotion of a brand through moving image.



You always start with strategy whether the output is a narrative film or a logo mnemonic. There should be an underlying portrayal of a brands’ core attitude and story in your work.



Design permeates everything you do. Exquisite layout, lighting, composition, movement: there should be impeccable pace across time and space in every application.

Natural flair.

Natural flair will run through you - the strength of the artist’s eye, effortlessly translating a concept into a realised brand expression. There will be a pace and urgency to the creative process. Less logic, more instinct. You like putting a bit of yourself in the work.

Original and surprising.

You will ambitiously originate and push conceptual directions that are un-chartered to surprise and delight our clients. You will not be trapped by the technicalities of delivery, or the mechanics of manufacture.

Beauty and craft.

The finished product will emit absolute beauty and craft. A timelessness that sets the work apart from the competition. From motion curves to surface lighting, a frame-perfect edit or uncanny use of sound design, perfection in communicating a brand message is the aim.
